Core Curriculum is intended to provide all Saskatchewan students with an education that will serve them well regardless of their choices after leaving school. Through its various components and initiatives, Core Curriculum supports the achievement of the Goals of Education for Saskatchewan. The Broad Areas of Learning and Cross-curricular Competencies connect the specificity of the areas of study and the day-to-day work of teachers with the broader philosophy of Core Curriculum and the Goals of Education for Saskatchewan.
