Art Canada Institute
This website aims to share Canadian art and its history with everyone - amateurs and experts alike. Under the "Teacher Resource Guides" tab are 37 educational guides, each exploring a theme related to the works of a Canadian artist. For example, the theme of decolonization emerges in the art of Robert Houle, and those of intergenerational knowledge and family can be identified in the art of Annie Pootoogook. Each guide presents a biography of the artist, a study of the artist's works, related learning activities and an image bank. Depending on the guide selected, content may also support learning in social studies, mathematics, natural sciences, etc.
