
MediaSmarts is a Canadian non-profit organization that develops educational resources focused on media and digital literacy for K–12 education, with an emphasis on critical thinking, online safety, and informed engagement with media.

The jobs are divided into sectors, such as city-state jobs, pyramid-temple building jobs and palace jobs. Each job is briefly described and the skills required for that job. For example, an individual could be a porter, who carries heavy packs up the mountains.

The atlas includes world maps and charts on topics such as landforms, vegetation, resources, population, religion, language and the economy. This edition incorporates the 2006 Canadian Census statistics together with new content, including remote sensing, climate change and satellite imagery.
