Jenneli's Dance
This picture book tells the story of Jenneli, a young girl who feels she is not special until her grandmother teaches her the Métis Red River Jig. Jenneli has fun dancing with her grandmother until the day that Grandma Lucee enters her in a jig contest. The first volume of Steps in Time teaches three Métis dances: Duck Dance, Fancy Jig and Rabbit Dance. These dances are combinations of several steps which are demonstrated clearly. The Great Fuzz Frenzy
Based on the award-winning picture book of the same title by Janet Stevens, the video begins when a fuzzy green tennis ball tumbles into a prairie dog hole. The arrival of the ball causes a great frenzy as the prairie dogs begin to decorate themselves with green fuzz and argue over who should have more fuzz. After a prairie dog named Big Bart steals all the fuzz, he is captured by an eagle. This crisis causes the prairie dogs to reunite and come to Big Bart's rescue, thus demonstrating the true meaning of community.

Métis Jigging Part 2. Grades 1 & 2
Krystle Pederson is a traditional jigger and Métis dance instructor. In Métis Jigging Part 2, Krystle talks about different styles of fiddle music and how jigging steps are incorporated into other styles of dance. Through demonstrations and practise, students build on the skills and knowledge gained in Part 1. Krystle introduces new jigging steps with an emphasis on travelling and working with a partner.
