Indicators for this outcome
(a) Investigate and compare information about Deaf communities around the world and how the deaf, deafened and hard of hearing are supported in other countries.
(b) Identify global impacts and contributions to the arts, sports, and/or work force made by the deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing community.
(c) Interview interpreters to explore the following characteristics of professional opportunities requiring proficiency in ASL:
  • roles;
  • responsibilities and skills;
  • initial and continuing educational requirements;
  • salary and benefits;
  • future trends impacting the occupation; and
  • other occupations with whom they may interact.
