The manual contains thematic modules comparing traditional and modern artists and their works from each of the five major cultural regions. Activities are suggested for each of the curriculum components. Included are biographies of artists, maps, timelines, assessment activities, bibliographies and a glossary.
These resources contain significant Canadian content. One module in each kit focuses on Plains art work, but the inclusion of Arapaho of Kansas and Oklahoma under the heading "Métis" may cause confusion. The map on page 19 in each manual shows where individual artists live/lived, but the actual cultures are more widespread.
Both kits are useful for the elementary level.

Online videos at www.edutopia.org demonstrate how role models help to generate student understanding. There are examples that show how educators can enable students to think critically, transfer skills and knowledge and be flexible problem solvers, both inside and outside the classroom.
The book includes a table of contents, an appendix, a bibliography and a subject index.
The document is intended to:
- unify a variety of early learning documents available in Saskatchewan;
- provide a process to identify and respond to the diverse needs of children ages 3-6 years in early learning programs;
- enhance assessment literacy of educators and how assessment evidence can be used to inform practices and programming;
- identify responsive supports and examples of targeted and/or small group supports;
- help educators create an inventory of community-based supports and services for children and their families; and,
- provide support and clarification for administrators with respect to indicators of quality and how to support educators.
Overhead transparencies of all images are also available.

Numerous opportunities are provided for students to engage in hands-on explorations that ensure a thorough understanding of key science concepts. Each unit opens with a Big Question to guide learning. Throughout the unit, there are four levels of inquiry. The Explore Activity allows students to build background knowledge. Teachers direct instruction in Directed Inquiry. In Guided Inquiry, students become independent learners with guidance from the teacher. Students choose their own questions, create and carry out plans, collect and record data and share data in Open Inquiry.
