German 10, 20, 30 | Saskatchewan Curriculum

(a)	Describe the lives and contributions of Canadian German-speakers (e.g., John Diefenbaker).
(b)	Explore the influence of German culture on Canadian society, including: food and drink; traditional and contemporary clothing; and, traditions, celebrations and holidays.
(c)	Inquire about German-speaking culture and heritage (e.g., the arts, celebrations, community, traditions, language, history and food) in Canada by: reading, listening to or viewing tourist information or facts about German-speaking Canadian communities; researching Canadian organizations, events and festivals; and, exploring German-speaking communities in Canada.
(d)	Relate elements of German-speakers’ culture and heritage to other Canadian cultures and heritages.
(e)	Discuss historical issues (e.g., anti-German sentiment and internment camps) German communities have encountered in Canada.
(f)	Compare current and historical experiences of German-speaking newcomers to Canada.
(g)	Recognize cultural-linguistic world view of German speakers about topics such as: education; technology; culture; and, celebrations and holidays.
