Evaluate, for the purpose of improvement, own works in progress and completed works during regular critiques with peers.
Indicators for this outcome
(a) Set norms for respectful understanding of diverse cultures and personal histories prior to beginning analytical discussion of student works.
(b) Evaluate artwork against co-constructed criteria using art terminology.
(c) Describe own decision making and problem-solving processes and reflect on the effectiveness of choices made.
(d) Demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of communicating through art.
(e) Use descriptive and constructive feedback making suggestions for improvements or extensions.
(f) Determine which aspects of the work are most important to alter or revise and what makes an artwork most successful.
(g) Suggest solutions to artistic problems and set goals during regular progress checks.
(h) Articulate and assess own role in the creative process leading to the work under review.
(i) Conduct a critical inquiry into own practice by reviewing creative process and portfolio development and share learning with peers.
