(a) conveys an idea in discourse with a logical sequence of events and with simple but effective detail;
(b) expresses some logical relations in discourse;
(c) uses simple linking devices, such as "maka-but," "ekosi-so," "kispin-if" and "ohci-therefore," appropriately in spontaneous speech to create a sense of flow and coherency;
(d) uses a variety of short oral texts on unfamiliar topics in guided situations;
(e) uses a variety of conventions to structure texts (e.g., titles, poetry, and riddles/jokes); and,
(f) uses a variety of patterns in their own texts.
