Although some people discourage Abby, a trainer at her father's gym is very encouraging. A section at the back of the book entitled "Asthma and Exercise" explains that, with rare exceptions, asthma will not limit physical activity. With proper medication and the help of a physician, children with asthma can control their condition and benefit from physical activity.

Finally, the boy decides to create some excitement by crying that a wolf is attacking his sheep. The townspeople run to the pasture to hunt down the wolf, thus freeing the boy to play with a friend. The next day, the boy cries that two wolves are after his sheep and the good people come to his rescue once again.
