Ready for Work. The Middle Years: Building Work-Readiness Skills
The preparation for the world of work that this resource offers middle level students provides a link with the Ready for Work framework that supports secondary level curricula. Built to reflect the competencies outlined in Blueprint for Life/Work Designs, this resource is divided into three major areas: Identifying My Skills, Understanding the World of Work and Knowing Ourselves and Others. Separate lessons for Grades 6-7 students and Grades 8-9 students are included for each area. The lessons are not sequential and all lessons do not need to be taught. Educators should choose the lessons that best meet the needs of their students.
